Description
John Nowill and Sons have been manufacturing and designing quality British knives in Sheffield for six generations. The company name was granted by the Cutlers Company of Hallamshire on the 27th April 1700. They produce excellent knives and tools using the best of materials and traditional know how that can only come from over three hundred years in the business.
Typically the seamans knife is hardworking and compact with a `no frills` design and the ability to cope with the harshest of enviroments. It comes complete with a tough black leather sheath.

I like the look and feel of this knife. It is a practcal, basic design as carried by our ancestors for centuries. The brass bolsters and stag grips have a roughish "Hand made" appearance, which looks authentic. I would have scored this knife higher than "3", if only it came with an edge! It comes fit to spread butter - be prepared to put some work in. (Posted on 8 December 2007)Rating
