Description

This unique pro-quality sling-pack has generous size to accommodate laptops in its padded retainer, yet is nimble enough to be rotated from back to chest. Common to all Hazard 4 slings, such as the Evac series, this maneuver gives on-the-go access to frequently used gear while carrying heavier loads on the back the rest of the time. It's also more secure in crowds etc., since you can keep it in sight and allows users to sit back in tight quarters such as ski lifts, or in vehicle interiors etc.

The generously padded and ventilated main shoulder strap is also ergonomically cut for hours of comfortable wear per day, and it is covered in modular (MOLLE compatible) webbing to attach pouches for phones etc at hand's reach.

Generous side modular webbing provides lots of expansion options and the thermoformed best-in- class moulded back panel provides variable rigidity, air ventilation, and a durable surface.

A drop-down fast access gear organizer can also hold an ipad sized tablet like a shelf and the main compartment is lined in velcro like fuzz for attaching dividers, patches or Hazard 4 holsters. An included but removable stabilizer strap keeps the bag from sliding forward when leaning (like on a bike,) and a removable delta-retainer is included for keeping bottles and similar objects inside the side pockets of the Switchback.

Had the Switchback for a month or so now and it is proving to be an exceptional product.

The sling design makes it very straight forward to put on and off and is intuitive to use in front of your chest also. Locking switch on main sling clip is an excellent idea.

The admin pouch is a cool design with the retaining straps keeping it open at 90 degrees making it very straightforward to operate a tablet or for map reading.

The back padding can not be beaten in my opinion, super innovative and comfortable design.

Loads and loads of finishing touches including elasticated retaining strap for water bottle, molle webbing and solid stitching throughout...I could go on...and on...and on!

You will not be disappointed buying this product.

Delivery from HH was transparent and super fast.

I am building up quite a collection of Hazard 4 stuff. I already own a load of Maxpedition kit & Hazard 4 is definitely superior, yet is comparably priced.
I particularly like the cordura Hazard 4 use, same weight but has a softer handle than that used by Maxpedition (I have a versipack which has a small hole worn in the base I believe as a direct result of their stiff & inflexible cordura).

All my Hazard 4 gear is the Coyote "tan" which is in reality a very pleasant BROWN colour (check out youtube for reviews where you will get a much better appreciation of the colour.

The Coyote colour works well in urban & outdoor environs and does not scream "tactical".

Cannot recommend Hazard 4 highly enough, absolutely superb quality backed up by HHs unbeatable service (Posted on 11 June 2013)

Superb sling bag, but only for right-handers?Review by Tall N Hairy Dave

I bought mine from another store a couple of weeks ago (sorry Heinnies, I was unfaithful, but I shall not stray again!), and it's brilliant.

I never used to like sling bags because ones I'd tried had narrow straps which tended to end up digging in my neck / shoulder.

This one has a really wide and comfy strap, combined with the stabilising strap I can walk around all day with this bag slung over my shoulder and not end up feeling terrible.

The only negative is that if you are a left hander you can't wear it and swing it round under your left arm as the strap is not set up that way and if you did, all the pockets would end up opening upside down and dump your kit on the floor!

As for quality of kit, I put the this up there with my kit from Hill People Gear and Mystery Ranch, and equal to the Kifaru stuff I've seen... Top quality for the money, way better than maxpedition! (Posted on 21 January 2013)
