CRKT Casper

CRKT Casper

From: €33.00

The CRKT Crawford/Kasper Folder handle shape is classic Kasper profile, ample without being cumbersome. The textured Zytel scales are flat with no swell so the knife won't print in the pocket, and to make drawing smoother. The thumb scallop on the left scale acts as an index point for the initial grip and draw, and is also a ramp leading down to the thumb stud which helps the index finger secure a more positive grip. The thumb ramp has friction grooves, to ensure thumb purchase under slippery conditions.

The blade is a stout, modified clip point of 8Cr14MoV stainless steel, double hollow ground. The thumb ramp features double thumb studs for ambidextrous use. Construction is the leading InterFrame build with 420J2 double stainless steel liners, 6061 T6 hard anodized aluminium back spacer, Torx fasteners and Teflon bearings for buttery smooth opening and closing. Lake and Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS) to provide lock security under extreme use.

It is available with a black or coyote handle.

I originally wanted the green handles with the black serrated blade but at the time this was the only one available. After getting this one I'll just use that as an excuse to get the others! I was looking for a decent, cheap folder and after looking through HH entire site decided the was the best value for money for me. £20 how can you go wrong? Really strong feeling in the hand, really well made! HH excellent! (Posted on )
  2. Not bad for the price.Review by
Myself and a friend challenged each other to buy a secret knife Santa for each other for around £20. I got him a Cool Hand Black Dog, he got me one of these. I am pretty impressed with it for the money. If you are looking for a large (Manix 2 XL size), hard use budget knife this is a great option. However there are two problems that should not be occurring even at this price. Firstly the gimping not he liner lock is unnecessary and very sharp making extended use very uncomfortable. Secondly the liner lock secondary lock when activated is where I want to put my thumb on the top gimping. It wouldn't stop me buying one but both issues prevent this from being a knife you could use for long periods of time. On the plus side fit and finish was very good for the money and the blade steel takes and hold a good edge. A perfect "farmers" knife maybe? (Posted on )

  6. True loveReview by
Bought this on a bit of a whim after HH posted a picture of the OD Green version on their Instagram. Only option left was Coyote Brown and I couldn't be happier that I snapped it up. Why does this cost £21.95? Everything about it is quality. As many people have said, it is heavy. It weighs about the same as a Buck 110, but the weight feels good. It is solid and smooth and there is no movement at all. I, of course, dropped it almost as soon as I unboxed it, but there isn't a mark anywhere. There is nothing about this knife that is UK Legal, which is a crying shame, because I can't imagine having to leave the house without it. For now, I'm sitting around flicking it open, sending pictures of it to everyone I know so they'll buy one too. The blade is beautiful and sharp and for this money there is no reason not to buy one right now. (Posted on )

Don't read reviews, spend 20 quid and be happy. Nothing out there is such good value. Sharp, tough and comfortable.. oh, and only 20 quid. If you don't then you are mad. Factor in next day Heinnie delivery and outstanding customer service- it's a gift !! (Posted on )

After a little use, it is such a shame that this knife (at least mine), has a fairly bad hot spot. There is jimping on the liner lock release groove, as is normal. However, the jimping on mine is fairly sharp, and the release notch on the liner is fairly proud of the scale on that side. The result is, that in a normal grip, the jimping cuts into my first finger. It may be that mine is out of tolerance, - don't know. Also, on many knives, the prominent each of the liner release notch is machined at a slight angle, and the jimping machinined into that angle, to help make for a more comfortable grip. Not on this one, it's just a regular edge with jimping, which would be ok, if the liner notch was less prominant, and the jimping was less aggressive. Sorry, since apart from that, this is a pretty useful knife, which takes a really good edge. A shame I cant use it much, since I have a large blister at the point of hot spot, through fairly normal use. (Posted on )
  9. Got Mine At Last!!!Review by
Given the price, it is not possible to rank below 5 stars. The knife (Brown/Satin) was out of stock when ordered, and took nearly 6 weeks to come back in stock. No blame on Heinnie of course, and it got to me next day (N.E. Scotland) after coming back in stock with Heinnie - Thanks.
Solid knife, opens well, framelock engages fairly early, but lock ensures no movement. No option but to apply safety lock, otherwise it would interfere with thumb grip. Blade centered fairly well, and the Zytel (Dupont Developed Plastic) are ok, may be a little slippy when wet, but fairly grippy. This is a large folder for the price. Pocket clip not bad at all. All in all, I am happy with this purchase, and the knife will be useful in the correct circumstances. Biggest niggle is that it was not as sharp out of the box as I would have expected, but I can solve that fairly quickly. Just expect a new knife to have a reasonable edge, and would not expect to have to sharpen before use. Still 5 stars overall.

Takes and keeps a good edge. Sturdy knife that gets used and abused daily. Will buy another when the need arrives without looking at other knives. (Posted on )

The Crawford Kasper Folding is a great defensive blade and runs anywere from 400 - 600 dollars for a custom version fit and finish on this knife is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a knife to practice martial arts or tactical use blade shaving sharp out of box these knives are out of production now grab one while you can mines getting kept as a collectors piece and shtf knife. Don't carry it on street in uk without good reason though as the extra lock safety points towards its true purpose, this would make an excellent work or survival knife as is tough with a useful large blade plus that extra lock give some extra security if your cutting carpet or something tough really impressed (Posted on )

  16. An excellent purchaseReview by
I was very surprised when opening the package from HH (Brilliant service as usual), it is wickedly sharp, beautifully machined and a solid substantial weight. No play in the mechanism and a well machined solid and secure action, especially with the addition thumb catch to secure the blade. Highly recommended and amazing value at £17.95. (Posted on )
  17. WOW!Review by
This is a lot of knife for the money, mine came this morning and i'm pretty shocked tbh, it's almost unbelievable value at under £20 delivered.

Really smooth 1 handed opening. Zero blade play in all directions, great lock up and true hair popping sharp out of the box.

A must have imo, it's going to be a great work horse of a blade.

This is a big knife though, be warned.
